A herping expedition in South Africa was a great value, with a comfortable SUV and equipped trailer. Led by Mathieu, the small crew found 29 snake species and met with local rescuers for additional photography. Other wildlife and ecological niches were explored. Mathieu and the Living Zoology crew visited Durban in January 2019 to film Black Mambas. On their first day, they went on five mamba calls and caught three, which was a great success. Mathieu, an experienced handler, did the wrangling for the cameraman and camerawoman. An amazing day for all involved.
