SEARCH FOR ONE OF THE WORLDS RAREST TORTOISES

6 Hours

Join us for a nature-based day tour just outside of Cape Town in search of one of the world’s rarest tortoises, the critically endangered Geometric Tortoise (Psammobates geometricus).

This remarkable species, characterized by its striking geometric shell patterns, is facing severe habitat loss due to agricultural expansion and urban development, and poaching for the pet
trade. During our exploration, we may also encounter the Parrot Beaked Tortoise (Homopus areolatus) and the Angulate Tortoise (Chersina angulata).

The area we visit is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including porcupines, bat-eared foxes, and reedbuck.

As part of our commitment to conservation, we are contributing to the database of these species, and a percentage of your tour fee will go towards the protection of the Geometric Tortoise and its habitat.
